How PYD makes endorsement decisions
PYD reviews candidates and ballot measures, then members who meet the current rules vote on a recommendation.
Request
Candidates, campaigns, PYD members, and community groups can ask PYD to consider a candidate or ballot measure.
Review
The Steering Committee reviews the submitted materials and other reliable information. Candidates for local, state, and congressional offices must sign the candidate pledge.
Member vote
Members who meet the current voting requirements consider the recommendation. PYD publishes the result after it is final.
Request endorsement
Ask PYD to consider a candidate or ballot measure. A request does not guarantee an endorsement.
Candidate pledge
Review the Pass Progress commitments used when PYD considers local, state, and congressional candidates.
Legislative support
Ask PYD to support or oppose a bill or policy proposal.
